Sip And Celebrate As The Douglas Club Partners With The Macallan
The Macallan To Launch Three Bespoke Cocktails To Celebrate 200 Years At The Douglas Club
Taking over The Douglas Club, the Art Deco-inspired bar, housed within Hilton LQS, The Macallan A Journey Through Time cocktail experience will be available through a flight of three variations of the classic Boulevardier cocktail.
Crafted by The Douglas Club’s experienced mixologist team, the flight of three versions of The Boulevardier, beginning with the classic Past, exploring the now from the Scottish nature in Present and highlighting its innovation in Future. Cocktail ingredients include:
- Past – The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, Campari, Antica Formula Bitters ($27)
- Present – The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old, Amaro Montenegro, chocolate, coffee bitters, cardamom bitters ($35)
- Future – The Macallan limited-edition Harmony Collection Amber Meadow, Antica Formula, all parts of an orange ($39)
A flight of all three is available for $49.
True to the Art Deco inspiration of The Douglas Club itself, The Boulevardier is a time-honoured cocktail that first originated in 1920s Paris – growing from an obscure cocktail that was largely forgotten for 80 years, before being rediscovered in the late 2000s as part of the craft cocktail movement.
The Macallan A Journey Through Time experience at The Douglas Club at Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street will be available from 1 September until the end of October 2024.
