Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street Partners With NGV To Launch An Alexander McQueen Stylish Stay Package

In Celebration Of NGV’s Summer Exhibition, Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street Has Released A Stylish Stay Package And Created Bespoke In-Hotel Experiences

Melbourne, Australia – Monday, 12 December 2022: To celebrate the opening of the National Gallery of Victoria’s (NGV) Summer blockbuster exhibition - Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse, Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street (Hilton Melbourne LQS) has partnered with the NGV to launch a ‘Stylish Stay Package’.

To mark the launch of the Stylish Stay Package in the hotel, Hilton Melbourne LQS has also partnered with internationally acclaimed floral designer, Fleur de Villes and Australian Bartender of The Year, Nick Tesar (Bar Liberty), to create four unique Alexander McQueen-inspired cocktails to be enjoyed by hotel guests and visitors to the hotel and its bar, The Douglas Club.

The theme continues in The Douglas Club, with four Alexander McQueen-inspired cocktails being created by celebrated mixologist, Nick Tesar. Inspired by the exhibition’s ideas of mind, mythos and muse, Tesar’s cocktails include two alcoholic, one low alcohol and one no-alcohol option and will be served for the duration of the exhibition. Guests can expect to see the following flavour creations:

  • Evolution & Existence - Using Melbourne Gin Company’s Gin as a base, this sour-style drink combines peach liqueur with vermouth, raspberry verjus and lemon, shaken over ice and dressed with a dusting of crystallised rose petals over a butterfly stencil.
  • Mythos - drawing inspiration directly from the theme of the exhibition, Mythos showcases the flavours of Evolution & Existence in a non-alcoholic offering. Seedlip Grove is combined with a peach shrub, Lyre’s Dry Vermouth, raspberry verjus and lemon, shaken over ice and dressed with a dusting of crystallised rose petals over a butterfly stencil.
  • Muse - A low alcoholic option, Muse is a bubbly and refreshing whisky-based spritz with flavours of orange, honey and lemon. Gospel Solera Rye is combined with Marionette Orange Curaçao, honey syrup, lemon and soda and quickly shaken over ice. Topped with sparkling wine and served in a flute, striped with honey syrup and dusted with crystalised verbena and mint.
  • Deliverance - combining Starward Nova Single Malt Australian Whisky with honey syrup, sweet wine and two dashes of orange bitters to create a bitter and sweet delight. Individually bottled, poured at the bar and served over ice.

The newly launched Stylish Stay Package is priced from $380, and is available for the length of the exhibition, until 16, April 2023 and includes:

  • A stylish overnight accommodation in your choice of room category (premium room types and suites available)
  • Breakfast for two at Luci
  • Two tickets to the NGV Summer Exhibition Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse
  • A Special welcome amenity curated by NGV

Hilton Melbourne is also offering the chance for a lucky follower to win a Stylish Stay Package. To go into the draw, guests simply need to follow Hilton Melbourne, NGV Melbourne and Flowers Vassette on Instagram, like Hilton Melbourne’s Fleurs de Villes post and tag a friend in the comments, before 23 December 2022.

The hotel also features its own stylish restaurant, Luci. Housed in one of Melbourne’s most elegant dining spaces, and helmed by the newly appointed Head Chef Jason Lear (previously of Grossi Florentino, Café Di Stasio and Pilu at Freshwater), the restaurants’ new summer menu showcases the best of Australian produce with a European influence.

Whether you are travelling down for the experience or making the most of a weekend, the Stylish Stay Package and in-hotel activations allow guests and visitors alike to discover one of the world's most extraordinary designers whilst experiencing both the modern elegance and old-world glamour of the hotel.

Hilton Melbourne LQS is located at 18 Little Queen Street, Melbourne VIC, 3000, and with the NGV just a short walk over the Yarra River and the rest of the city at your doorstep, the hotel’s central CBD location is ideal for those wanting to explore what the city has to offer.
