Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street Opens Heritage Suites and Premium Rooms

New Digital History Tour Reveals Building’s Architectural Significance

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street unveils five stylishly transformed heritage suites as part of its recent refurbishment of the Equity Chambers building, along with new modern premium rooms. These new rooms and suites are now available to book. History buffs staying at the hotel can learn about the building’s evolution via a new digital self-guided hotel history tour.

The restoration of the heritage suites is a key element of the hotel design and saw extensive research conducted by interior designers Bates Smart into the history of the site. Originally leased out to legal professionals, the first floor of the Equity Chambers building now houses the new heritage suites and meeting spaces, while the ground floor and mezzanine have been transformed into The Douglas Club and Luci restaurant.

The hotel’s King Junior Suite, King Premium Suite and King Master Suite are located from level one to four of the former Equity Chambers building with access through the heritage Bourke Street lobby and restored 1930s elevator, while the King Premier Corner Rooms are in the new tower and provide city skyline views.

King Master Suite from $600

Housed within the south-west corner of the heritage wing, the King Master Suite offers 55 square metres of space, with an entry hall and separate living area. The suite features a workspace, Wi-Fi, a king Hilton Serenity bed, two 55-inch HD smart TVs, media hub and a light-filled bathroom with a deep bathtub and walk-in shower.

Previously used as a boardroom and office for the legal fraternity, the Master King Suite has retained its heritage character, seeing the original timber panelling and decorative mouldings restored along with cast bronze grills below the casement windows, a like-for like replica of the original.

King Premium Suite from $475

This sophisticated 55 square metre suite boasts a separate spacious living area and a rest space with a king Hilton Serenity bed, and showcases a contemporary translation of the interior detailing inspired by the heritage building.

The room has an upholstered chaise lounge, a 55-inch HD smart TV with built-in Chromecast, comfortable workspace with Wi-Fi and media hub. Guests will be able to unwind in the bathroom with a soothing soak in the deep bathtub or when using the separate walk-in rain shower.

King Junior Suite from $425

The King Junior Suite boasts 43 square metres of space, with a separate living area and a spacious bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower. The suite also includes a king Hilton Serenity bed, a 55-inch HD smart TV, media hub, workspace and Wi-Fi.

King Premier Corner Room from $375

A spacious 36 square metres, the beautifully decorated King Premier Corner Room offers city skyline views through floor-to-ceiling windows, a king Hilton Serenity bed, chaise lounge, 55-inch HD smart TV with built-in Chromecast, a comfortable workspace, Wi-Fi and a lush bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower.

Premium rooms and suites include locally sourced welcome amenities from artisan coffee brand Dukes Coffee Roasters, premium hotel bath products by Hunter Lab, daily e-news, a mini-fridge and bathrobes.

Hotel History Tour

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street’s self-guided hotel history tour is open to all guests. It reveals the colourful past and significance of the site over the course of a short walk around the public spaces in the hotel via digital QR codes. There are eight QR codes on tour, which, when scanned using a mobile device, reveal the building’s secrets.
